- Ingvald, Just a short note. I enjoyed your web site (and your sister's
even without speaking or reading Norwegian), but PLEASE
practice on your focusing with your camera!! If your camera doesn't
have focusing, learn where the sharp focus is. Your macro's are nice,
but your crabs are fuzzier than nature intended. I am not trying to
hold myself up as a "master" U/W photographer (or land for that matter),
but I have had my share of classes, and expect to have more. If you
get a chance, you might want to take a class or two-the number of
pictures you will wind up taking will amaze you. And if you keep track
of what you shot at the beginning and what you have at the end (or
on your next trip), you will be more that "pleased". Of course all
this costs money for cameras, trips, film and whatnots, sorry. But
the results....
Most dive shops, liveaboards and resorts have U/W photo classes if
they have a "resident" photographer, or Nikon still has their Nikonos
seminars, although I think they have cut back on the number of courses.
Stephen Frink @ Waterhouse Tours in Key Largo, Florida, also has classes
and some of his are on liveaboards in the premier dive spots around
the world. Again-they all cost, but what diving!
I only have a couple of images "on-line", and they aren't the greatest,
but they are nice. I'll e-mail them to you for your critique.
But no matter what-good diving and enjoy.
